When Robert wants to sit and watch for his ship to come in, he goes to Balboa. Accualy this particular bench is his spot to relax and feel the ocean breeze in his face and mentally converse with God. He has been sitting on this bench at the wedge for as long as I can remember. He took me to the Balboa Pier on our 3rd date. He can be found there early in the morning with a donut and a coffee, when I'm sleeping in on Saturday morning, or with me on Sundays after we eat at our favorite Italian place by the peir. It is a little slice of heaven to sit, hold hands, relax and discuss how blessed we are!!!
